Description
Ronix Intermediate 28" Balance Series Foil Setup
The 28″ Balance setup bridges the gap between entry-level setups and high-performance foils. It’s designed to deliver a sweet blend of control, glide, and responsiveness — ideal for foilers who understand the basics and want to level up their flight.
Setup Overview
- Balance front wings in 1300 cm² or 1600 cm²
- Balance rear stabilizer — 240 cm²
- Fluid 28″ mast
- Link 3D fuselage — 39 cm
- Included 727 board in 3′8″, 4′1″, or 4′8″ sizes
- Vertical stabilizer (patent-pending) included — designed to improve control on deep-water starts and turns
Why This Setup Matters
The Balance wing series places a priority on stability and predictability without giving up the efficiency needed for smooth glides and progression. Its lower-modulus, autoclave carbon construction offers a more forgiving ride than pure high aspect foils, but still holds speed and transitions well.
The 28″ Fluid mast is engineered for controlled lift and smooth performance, especially on choppy water or larger wakes. Its “metronome” tempo design helps maintain fluid motion throughout transitions.
Ronix’s patent-pending vertical stabilizer adds extra pitch stability and helps manage takeoffs in deep water. As you gain confidence, it can be quickly removed to let the foil flex into a freer, more aggressive style.
Key Benefits
- Balanced Glide & Control: Provides an engaging, stable flight experience for riders progressing beyond beginner setups.
- Improved Pump Efficiency: The Balance wings sustain speed well across pump cycles, even when acceleration is modest.
- Turn-Friendly Geometry: Designed to transition smoothly with responsive edge hold, yet forgiving in varied conditions.
- Adaptive Pitch Control: The included vertical stabilizer offers extra stability on takeoff and can be removed as your skill improves.
Technology & Construction
- Autoclave Carbon / Low-Modulus Layup: Tuned to deliver performance with forgiveness, ensuring the foil feels lively without being twitchy.
- Balance Wing Design: Winglet twist, chord taper, and edge control optimized to maintain flight stability and reduce stall tendencies.
- Fluid 28" Mast: Offers consistent lift, responsive turning, and smoother energy flow through transitions.
- Link 3D Fuselage: CNC-machined for rigidity and streamlined flow between mast, front wing, and stabilizer.
- Vertical Stabilizer: Slidable innovation for extra pitch control on deep-water starts and smoother arcs. Easily removable as you grow more confident.
Ronix 727 Tuff Tech Foil Board
After five years of refinement, the 727 returns with a centered, stable riding position built for confidence and resilience. The Tuff Tech construction wraps a thin-profile core in a tough Surface Skin shell so it can handle the knocks and dings that come with real use.
This board is designed to be forgiving yet performance-ready — a neutral, controllable ride style that suits entry-level and intermediate foilers. You’ll find yourself consistently in control, even during aggressive maneuvers or fast landings. With straps included for deep-water starts, this board sets a foundation for progressing aerials and pumping technique.
Features
- Available in 3′8″, 4′1″, or 4′8″ lengths
- 10″ foil track with standard 3.5″ spacing between tracks
- Foil-specific geometry — rocker, bevels, and weight tailored for flight landings
- Tuff Tech construction — classic Koal core wrapped in rugged Surface Skin for durability
- Blended EVA traction pad — foam and rubber mix with machined grooves for comfort + grip
- Includes adjustable foot straps for easier deep-water starts and air work
- Three stance options for both front and rear feet
- Precision-machined cores — every board produced by robot to exact tolerances
- Lava Resin — high-temp resin that holds up under stress and heat
